Meet Our Leadership Team
Duane-FSA Founder: Duane is a Former Chief of Police, obtaining that position by the time he was 32 years old and was one of the youngest Chiefs in the State of Michigan at that time. Duane has 29 years of Law Enforcement experience. Duane is a Certified Risk Consultant (Private & Public Safety sector), Advanced Crime Prevention Expert & Threat Assessor Specialist, as well as a Department of Homeland Security Risk/Anti-Terrorism Practitioner and Emergency Manager through FEMA. Duane is also a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), and Physical Security Professional (PSP).
Duane has 32 years of Current/Certified Law Enforcement; Loss Prevention, Security/Safety & Risk Consulting experience. Duane is a certified Field Training Officer, who has worked in road patrol, as an undercover detective, loss prevention manager, private investigator, Police shift supervisor, and SRT team member.
Duane has trained & instructed exclusively with members of military special operations and instructed with business owners of multi-million dollar portfolios; attorneys; doctors; authors; media; police, fire, and state representatives. He is responsible for the company's vision and overall operations. Duane is currently working on authoring his second book and hopes to have it completed before he turns 100!
Since the beginning of the FSA concept, Duane has focused his attention on how to better educate others in the safety/security fields. He found this via professional & thorough training and consulting. Duane holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Human Services, with Minors in Business and Emergency Management. Today, Duane divides his time between family, research, writing, and consulting in the discipline of safety & security.
